DSWS型万米深海绞车主要由储缆绞车、牵引绞车、直角排缆装置、液压泵站、电控系统等组成。
钢丝绳从储缆绞车卷筒出，经液压排缆装置后，再经过两个牵引轮后通过导向滑轮装置放入海中。牵引轮承载了钢丝绳的载荷，排绳装置和储缆绞车仅承载着可调节且恒定的负载，可以安全稳定的实现绞车的重载低速和轻载高速功能，延长了缆绳使用寿命。绞车系统更趋于稳定，排绳更整齐，深水绞车系统的安全性和稳定性均得到明显提升。
